Acelanet LLC (d.b.a. SCS Broadband) COVID-19 Virus Policy Procedures during the current virus outbreak

March 19-20, 2020 Update

For an added layer of protection against coronavirus transmission, SCS Broadband’s main office at 604 Thomas Nelson Highway will no longer allow customer foot traffic in and out of the building for the time being. The front door will be locked. All transactions, inquiries, and the like will be done by phone, mail, email, or through our website.

SCS Broadband will also not be scheduling any new installations between now and April 6th. Installations currently on the calendar will proceed as planned unless the customer notifies us otherwise.

 

March 17, 2020

Summary:  SCS Broadband is releasing this formal special policy today to combat the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. This policy will be updated as needed as we all move through this time of uncertainty.

Office Work Areas:

  1. All surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected each morning and at the end of each business day
  2. This cleaning is to be done with a spray disinfectant on all surfaces, doorknobs, counters, desks tops, keyboards and mice, phones, screens and pens.
  3. Employee to Employee Contact will be limited by the following policies: one person per office with doors closed, working from home for those employees able to do so, installers and service technicians working one at a time in the Technician’s office, and separate lunches/smoke breaks.

 

Work Vehicles:

  1. All surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected each morning and at the end of each business day

This cleaning is to be done with a spray disinfectant on all surfaces inside and outside of truck which are touched by hands or can have virus spread by mouth, such as sneezing.

  • INSTALLERS/SERVICERS will travel one per truck unless approved by management for work safety reasons
  • Before any truck is used in morning, it must be completely wiped down
  • Each truck is to be wiped down at end of day

Customer Contact and Hygiene

  1. No employee will be allowed to touch or shake hands with any customer. A six-foot minimum distance at homes of customers must be maintained, and customers must remain on other side of customer service window at office. Elbow bumping is discouraged as viruses can be transmitted by clothing.
  2. Employees are to wash hands often and use sanitizer as needed. No one should be relying solely on sanitizer as it is not as effective as washing hands for 20 seconds.

Company Responsibilities

When the need arises and supplies can be obtained, the company will provide surgical masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfectants.

Company will enforce any government law placed into effect for our company.

Company will allow work from home on a case by case basis and as the path of this virus is more prevalent, with the goal to have minimum people in the office spaces. The Accounting department will work from home at this time through the end of the crisis.

Employee Responsibilities

All employees are to adhere to the above policies and to fill out any required action check forms as directed.

All employees are to notify management immediately of any family member that has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

All employees are to notify management immediately if they think they have any symptoms of the virus

All employees are encouraged to offer suggestions or ask questions at any time during this crisis

All employees must notify management of any travel outside of Virginia

All employees must notify management of any attendance of event with more than 10 people which is greatly discouraged
